  35. I'm impressed. He was less impressive during the Gulf War. Thats when
  36. I lost interest in what he had to say about anything. He *seemed* to be
  37. towing the usual anti-US CBC line.

  45. I think the biggest problem with the V & H [aside from the factual
  46. errors] is the way the CBC presented it with no chance of rebuttal.

  48. This whole debate should have taken place on the CBC after each
  49. episode was broadcast. Let McKenna present his side, and let
  50. dissenters present theirs. Whats wrong with that?

  52. The CBC is supposed to represent all Canadians, and on an issue that
  53. is so painful for veterans, their voice should have been heard.

  55. Why was the CBC so incapable of reserving time for debating this issue
  56. at the time? If it wasn't for the Senate Committee and the Veterans
  57. groups we wouldn't be having this debate and you wouldn't be calling
  58. me names [at least not on this issue]

  60. Maybe McKenna was right on some of his more outrageous claims,
  61. but why shouldn't he have to defend them at the time in front of
  62. comparable sized audiences?
