  12. After all the flak that auto insurance companies get, here is a tale
  13. of efficiency beyond my wildest expectations.

  15. Yesterday my fiance had a deer run in front of our car.  She didn't even
  16. get time to brake ... whump ... damage was substantial (front bumper, grill,
  17. both headlights, hood, air-conditioner condenser ...)  Just a shade over
  18. $2000 all told.

  20. I phoned the insurance company at 12:45 today (after we'd gotten a couple
  21. of estimates).  They called back at 2:00 to take all the details.  I took
  22. the car to their office for photographs, and to let their claims assessor
  23. look over the damage.  At 3:40 they gave me a cheque for the body shop work
  24. (less the deductible) and gave me the addresses of two rental agencies where
  25. I could pick up a car (for up to five days).

  27. Just under 3 hours from first contact to paying up ... I was impressed.

  29. Oh, the name of this paragon of efficiency ... CSAA.
