  12. Thanks to all who have responded so enthusiastically to the development of an
  13. 'essential book list' for statistical consultants. I now have the details of
  14. Cleveland's book - from at least 20 sources - so no more information on this
  15. book please.
  16. Based on the new flow of input which has followed the release of the initial
  17. list, I will add, modify and delete according to the suggestions. Since there
  18. has been so much additional information provided, I will aim to output the
  19. next revision in about one week.

  21. Two additional categories have been noted - Bayesian methods and Non-parametric
  22. methods. If anyone would like to make contributions in these areas, I will
  23. include the recommendations.
