-
- Yes. We use it almost exclusively at third and fourth year level here -
- data analysis, regression and ANOVA, multivariate analysis, medical
- statistics, survival analysis, nonparametrics and next year possibly time
- series, risk theory, quality control, and several others.
-
- It works very well indeed. We have a Sun laboratory and use S-PLUS within
- an X-windows system. The students learn to use it much faster than do the
- staff (!) and once they have got over the fascination of coloured pictures
- and flashy dynamic graphics they actually learn something using it.
-
- It is the standard tool our postgraduate students use, too, of course.

- Likewise. It is virtually my only statistical tool for a pretty full and
- comprehensive consultanting practice, and likewise for most of my colleagues.
- It doesn't exactly pamper to the "everyting by the mouse" brigade, but it's
- not exactly lacking in sound statistical tools, either. I recommend it.
-
- Alain> Any information would be welcomed :-) !
-
- I could be more specific if you your request was a little more sharply
- focused. What did you have in mind using it for?
