- Some time ago, VK6BQN (ex-VK2BQN) took VK2ZYI and myself flying, along
- with a IC-202 and IC-502 (2m & 6m SSB), plus a 2m FM handheld, in search
- of DX, during a long-weekend in January, maybe 10 years ago,
- unfortunately didnt find any rare or unusual DX, but could easily key
- up repeaters from Coffs Harbour to Bega and out to Orange, while
- buzzing over Gosford, this was in a Cessna at about 6,000 ft, the
- only contacts were locals in Sydney and Newcastle, we fed a long peice
- of coax out through the tail, with some sort of wire antenna attached
- to that.
