- BlackMale - Cherry Tree (tues nites)
-
- the F in the title of course stands for Funk!
- With Michael Stevens (big river, and stuff) doing the vocals
- it is certainly loud. Definitely worth checking out just to hear
- that voice! (note that he's still very audible even when away from
- the mike).
- Did a mix of blues and funk - including a Johny Guitar Watson
- tune (real mutha for ya), a Sly stone (thank you talking to me africa -
- ok predictable - but still hard not to move and be moved by the song
- that Herbie Hancock said changed his whole outlook on music), and a few
- classic blues (there'll the same song anyway aren't they?).
- Some very well known faces in the band - not a weak spot there!
- James Rayne did a few songs as a special guest - which didn't real appeal
- to me - but it meant something to someone.
- Ineteresting night.
