- I wouldn't be too sure about that! Many small independant companies
- happily change tracks on overseas product they distribute. In the case
- of the Chickens Mushroom obviously felt that by holding off and waiting
- for the new tracks they'd end up with a stronger album. I've heard the
- new songs live, and believe me, they are a quantum leap for the band.
- The Chickens themselves, in an InPress interview, seemed philosophical
- about what Mushroom are doing. Sort of, "Well, there was nothing wrong
- with the original album, but if they feel they have to change it, that's
- fine too". It's not as if Mushroom have hired Euphoria to remix tracks
- or anything... (and if you're reading this, Mushroom... DON'T!!)

-
- ...Which poor Betty got all the blame for. No-one is willing to accept
- the blame for that fiasco, but most informed sources absolve the
- luckless Ms Boo of all blame, apart from (justifiably) losing her temper
- on stage. And by the way, I saw one of her shows. She DID sing live.
- Some people don't know taped backing vocals if they fall over them. Then
- Quadrophonia can come out here and mime to a DAT machine and nobody
- complains. There's a lot of hypocrisy in this business...
-
- >Is there anyone else you know who does this kind of stuff? Successfully?
-
- Loads of them. Michael Coppel, Paul Dainty, and a whole swag of
- independant promoters...
