- Here (At least in Melbourne) the speed cameras are sometimes set up
- to snap the fronts of vehicles, and sometimes the rear of vehicles. There
- seem to be more set up to snap the fronts (in my experience), but perhaps you
- just don't see as many set up the other way coz they're concealed by the car
- that they're operated from.
-
- We too have red light cameras, not to mention bus lane and transit lane
- cameras.
-
- As annoying as all this traffic camera technology is, I must (*sigh*) admit
- that is does save lives, so we are better off with it than without. To me, it's
- much the same as a tax. It's almost inevitable that you will be snapped at some
- time or other.
-
- BTW, does anyone out there know why the law requiring motor o&o to have a front
- number plate was dropped? I can't think of anything apart from aesthetic
- reasons. I can't imagine it being dropped for that. Can you?
-
- Just my two bits,
-
- Tony.
