- I was discussing with a remote site the various ways we could give them
- IP access to our net.

- It was suggested that dialup SLIP would be one of the cheapest ways to go.
- Being legal-types, they weren't sure if it was exactly legal to make an
- indefinite dialup call over Telecom's PSTN, or even if you could have one
- end break and restore the link without human intervention.
