  35. species. Therefore, ticks (which feed on/"eat" humans) are more advanced.

  38. If taking his analogy to the greatest extreme bothers you delicate a.v.
  39. types, then consider the monitor lizard (especially the Komodo dragon):
  40. definitely a more "primitive" life form than the mammals it feeds on, but
  41. on its islands, it is the dominant predator.
