- From almost everything I have read or seen. The three vampiresses in "Dracula"
- did not kill Harker. Dracula did not immediately kill Lucy or Mina. Hence the
- vampire fed, and the victim lived...Also, I remember a "Dragon" magazine had
- (a couple of Halloweens ago) a whole slew of new vampires based on myths.
- I know of no source that states the victem must be killed with the draining of
- blood.
