  11. I think that people who use s/he are on the right track in their
  12. attempt to rectify the sexist bias that's undeniably built into the
  13. language.  The problem with s/he, however, is that it doesn't go far
  14. enough.  Although it does address the gender bias, it does nothing
  15. about the inherent HUMAN bias that leaves everything non-human
  16. (bunnies, nuclear reactors, forests, starry nights, etc.) out in the cold.

  18. As an advocate of inanimate rights, I propose a new pronoun:
  19. s/h/it, which should cover just about everything if we push hard
  20. enough.
