  26. That's because it is hooey, Lauren.  When I hear things like this I feel
  27. like "releasing the safety catch on my Browning"(**), too.  Even this loose
  28. "burn off the fat" kind of language should be enough to alert one to the
  29. possibility of nonsense ahead.

  31. I must say this is a big pity, though.  There is a need for a simple book
  32. that explains the physiology of fat catabolisis and the signs to look for
  33. while it's happening, and the Baily books were, according to some of my
  34. email correspondents, the only ones to try to do this.  I can't get them
  35. here in Australia, but after hearing this I don't intend to try too hard.

  37. (My daughter, the medico no less, seems to know nothing much about it.
  38. She's a great help, I must say.  Her advice is "just take some catabolic
  39. steroids dad!"  If only there were such things... :-)
