- My double chin disappeared somewhere along the way. There's a bit
- of loose skin where the second (and third) chin used to be, but
- after 40 years and 200 pounds of weight loss, I could have ended
- up a lot worse.
-
- Hang in there, and things will get better!
-
- (I don't know if anyone else ever tried this, but as a motivational
- tool during my fast, I took a couple of self-portrait pictures every week.
- Did a front and profile, for each week from day 1 (393) to the end of
- the fast (at 210 pounds). Even though the scale was showing numbers that
- were gratifying, it was really nice to look at the series of pictures
- to see my thinner self come out. [Not sure I can use the pictures for
- a double-chin pointer; I was switching back and forth between a beard
- and being cleanshaven during that time.] Whenever the fast got a bit
- hard to take, out would come the pics. Nice to see where I was coming from
- and going to. BTW, if you do this yourself, consider getting small
- rolls of film, like 20s or 12s, so you can get quick feedback.)
