- My husband and I have been thinking about joining a health
- club. I especially want something to get me through the
- winter besides my exercise bike, and while I've been thinking
- about skiing, (both X country and downhill) I know how much I
- hate the cold so I don't think I'd do much of it. Anyway,
- there aren't many choices in the town I live in. The Y is
- yukky and I think the only other club is this expensive one
- we visited last night. Its really beautiful and new and there
- were only three people working out, along with 1 trainer and 2
- other staff members.
-
- Here are the facilites: 2 kinds of bike, stairmasters, rowing
- machine, treadmills, free weights, weight machines (Cybex),
- lap pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steamroom (all facilites are
- cooed, except the locker rooms, of course!). They also
- do some kind of fitness/body fat determination (not dunking,
- its advertised as some kind of computerized system). The 2
- married memberships cost $415 for 3 months and $1250 for a
- year. Any thoughts? How does the equipment sound? Any advice
- on whether it will be money well spent? We're getting a
- 3 day pass (for free) tonight to try it out.
