- Re: various questions:
-
- For me, the biggest weight variation is due to the varying amounts of
- food that I eat. If it's a high calorie day, and/or if it's a lot of
- vegies, I'll weigh a touch more till it passes on through. OTOH, if
- I've had a low-bulk day, I'll weigh a bit less.
-
- I average my weight over a week. My activity patterns tend to be
- cyclic, generally with heavy amounts on the weekend, and not-quite-so-
- heavy on the weekdays. Vegie/carbo balances tend to be cyclic, too.
-
- So long as I'm not deliberately (or unconsciously) changing my weight,
- they will be pretty steady from week to week. With steady PA/eating habits,
- it ranges +-2 pounds, provided I keep all the rest the same; time of
- day, clothing, etc.
-
- On the metabolism crunch, I think it takes a while. Judging by crash
- diet slowdowns, it looks like it takes a few weeks to show. Not eating
- for one day might trigger low blood sugar (known as the 'bonk' in
- bicycling circles) if you combine not eating with heavy activity
- and dehydration, but that's another problem altogether.
