- My husband was just diagnosed with a kidney disease and has been put
- on a special diet. This diet allows for 40 grams of protein per day.
- 75% of these grams are to come from foods such as milk, eggs and
- meat. The problem is that because protein is found in almost everything
- you eat he isn't consuming enough calories to keep his weight up.
- He is used to consuming 2,000 calories a day.
-
- Anyway, I'm interested in getting in touch with some people who can
- help us to identify some foods that are filling but don't have any
- protein. Things like bread and noodles have protein we have
- discovered. Is there some kind of drink supplement that is high
- in calories/carbohydrates, but does not contain protein? Any
- ideas would be greatly appreciated.
