  10. Thanks for the very comprehensive SKA list. I have compiled a list of SKA
  11. bands that are not on your list as well as some possible corrections and a
  12. few SKA questions.

  17. 1) STRANGE TENNANTS - circa 1984 in Sydney Australia (Blue Beat Records) 
  18.                     - "Take one Step" was their first album. 
  19.                     - "Grey Skies" and "Killer Zombies" were popular songs.
  20.                     - They are now defunct.
  21.  
  22. 2) THE ALLNITERS    - circa 1984 in Melbourne Australia.
  23.                     - "Montego Bay" was a popular song.
  24.                     - They are now defunct.
  25.  
  26. 3) ATHEER & DONNA   - circa 1984 in England (SKA/Reggae). 
  27.                     - "Uptown Rankin, No Pop No Style, I'm Strictly Roots"
  28.                        was a great song.
  29.                     - I don't know where they are now.

  31. 4) SPECIAL AKA      - Formed when THE SPECIALS broke up.
  32.                     - Some SKA influence in this band.

  34. 5) FUN BOY THREE    - Not strictly SKA but does have Terry from the 
  35.                       SPECIALS. FUN BOY THREE broke up and the COLORFIELD
  36.                       were formed (another great band).

  41. 1) You list "THE ENGLISH BEAT" but I have always known them as 
  42.    "THE BRITISH BEAT" or "THE BEAT" with such songs as "Tears of a Clown"
  43.    and "Stand down Margaret".

  45. 2) You list the "THE DELTONES" but do you really mean "THE BELTONES" with
  46.    their 1968 hit "No more headaches" ? There is a band called the 
  47.    "DELTONES" but they were a 1960's Australian POP band. They are still
  48.    performing today via the 'has-been' circuit.

  54. 1) I have one SPECIALS album titled "THE SPECIALS". It has the following
  55.    songs on it.

  57.    "Nite Club", "Message to you Rudy", "Monkey man" etc.

  59.    What I would like to know is how many albums did the SPECIALS release 
  60.    and what are their titles ?
  61.  
  62.    The songs "Ghost Town" and "Friday Night, Saturday Morning" are not on my
  63.    album so they must have more than one album out.

  65.    It's funny you know, the SPECIALS have got to be my favorite modern
  66.    SKA band but I have no information on them and have only ever seen
  67.    one of their film clips ?

  69.    I also have "THE SPECIALS LIVE IN MANCHESTER" which I taped of the
  70.    radio a few years back. Can you get this recording ?

  72.    Are any of the SPECIALS records available on CD ?

  74. 2) Around 1982 the was a English Reggae band called MUSICAL YOUTH. Their
  75.    members were all under the age of 15. The most popular songs were "Pass
  76.    the Dutchie" and "The Youth of Today". I have their debut album and it's 
  77.    excellent pop reggae.

  82.    their other albums ?
