- The cording question is rather timely for me as I am working on recreating
- a 1590 fencing jacket with extensive amounts of cording used as decoration.
- What was done on the examples I am working from was that an awl was used to
- open a small hole in the fabric without ripping the threads and the cord was
- then passed through and sewn under.

- This will not work with heavy cording, but for most light cording it works
- fairly well.
