  28. Bravo, Steve!  I don't think this is at all an issue of gender.  This is
  29. one of the classic examples of the kind of people I classify as "users".
  30. They (be they male or female) will do and act however they perceive will
  31. get them the "farthest" with their latest source of conquest.  Since I
  32. regard honesty as one of the most important things a person must have,
  33. I avoid such people at all costs.

  35. And I have been bit by exactly this type of female, Lis.  Two in college
  36. on different occasions, in fact, who went out with me solely to make their
  37. current boyfriends (who they very carefully hid from my attempt at
  38. 'discreetly' inquiring about before asking them out) jealous.  The moment
  39. I discovered this, I promptly ceased talking to them.  I deserve better
  40. than that, and will not allow myself to be a "puppet" for someone else's
  41. personal ego game.
