- Bravo, Steve! I don't think this is at all an issue of gender. This is
- one of the classic examples of the kind of people I classify as "users".
- They (be they male or female) will do and act however they perceive will
- get them the "farthest" with their latest source of conquest. Since I
- regard honesty as one of the most important things a person must have,
- I avoid such people at all costs.
-
- And I have been bit by exactly this type of female, Lis. Two in college
- on different occasions, in fact, who went out with me solely to make their
- current boyfriends (who they very carefully hid from my attempt at
- 'discreetly' inquiring about before asking them out) jealous. The moment
- I discovered this, I promptly ceased talking to them. I deserve better
- than that, and will not allow myself to be a "puppet" for someone else's
- personal ego game.
