  18.     The reason this happens is that the 42MHz freqs for the CHP are
  19.     very low power transmitters, so you have to be close to the car
  20.     to hear it.  However, a good antenna and scanner can make a
  21.     difference.  My PRO2006 occasionally locks onto one or more of
  22.     these channels if they are on the freeway near my home.

  29.     Yes.  I have.  It's a good local source, although the prices
  30.     are not discount.  But he services what he sells, and offers
  31.     extensive information on how to use what he sells.  He also
  32.     sells freq. lists.
