- The reason this happens is that the 42MHz freqs for the CHP are
- very low power transmitters, so you have to be close to the car
- to hear it. However, a good antenna and scanner can make a
- difference. My PRO2006 occasionally locks onto one or more of
- these channels if they are on the freeway near my home.

- Yes. I have. It's a good local source, although the prices
- are not discount. But he services what he sells, and offers
- extensive information on how to use what he sells. He also
- sells freq. lists.
