- That's funny Jim! It doesn't surprise me a bit!
-
- Sounds like the usual bulls**t that RS salesdroids dish out. I would go ahead
- and perform the mod (that is if you want the cell band). I'm sure the 2006 you
- got is no different than the one I got about 2 months ago.
-
- In other words, I wouldn't hesitate doing it.
-
- BTW: I was at a RS in Florida once looking at scanners, and asked salesdroid
- about listening to cordless phones. He showed me a scanner that he claimed
- that you would need 48 or so scanners all set at different freqs to listen to
- the conversation at once. Well, being new to scanners (and to radio for that
- matter) I was amazed, yet wary at the same time (just as you are know). Yeah
- right, spread spectrum technology in $150 cordless phone??? This was before
- their frequency inversion phone came out even!
-
- I'm so glad, you made me remember this, I had to post it!
- I would love to return to his store and make him look bad! [ hehe ;-) ]
-
- As Nike would say: Just do it!
