- I talked to a cabbie here in Los Amgeles about their system and it
- turns out that they indeed compete against each other in a way. First
- each driver owns the cab they drive and not the company. Second they have
- a system of bidding for fares. Depending on how bad you place this bid
- with the dispatcher and that is probably why they don't want them to
- hear each other.
