  23. I talked to a cabbie here in Los Amgeles about their system and it
  24. turns out that they indeed compete against each other in a way. First
  25. each driver owns the cab they drive and not the company. Second they have
  26. a system of bidding for fares. Depending on how bad you place this bid
  27. with the dispatcher and that is probably why they don't want them to
  28. hear each other.
