  22. Please don't blame the child for the parents irresponsibility.
  23. The child IS a wonderful child. Why doesn't this `community' talk
  24. to the mother and demand that she address the obvious problem?
  25. In our community, we adults with small children talked about this
  26. potential problem and decided to coop childcare in a different space
  27. than the ritual so as to avoid these kind of interruptions. We
  28. do set aside certain times in some rituals when we invite the children
  29. in and allow them to participate to some degree but with no expectations
  30. of anything but cursory attention at those times. I hope that the
  31. adults who feel like you do about Mikey will do something constructive
  32. about it rather than just grumbling about Mikey.
