  14.     I hate doing this. What I really wanted to do was rip ol' Dean
  15. up one side and down the other. His plots are derivative and not well
  16. thought out, inconsistency after inconsistency crops up in the work, and
  17. the dialogue reads like he just ripped off a few bad horror movie
  18. scripts.
  19.     But I've got to admit, his characters are three-dimensional
  20. people. I find myself rooting for them in spite of myself, and
  21. constantly wish he'd write novels where his old characters get back
  22. together. Maybe the Dakotas from _The_Bad_Place_ could help that kid
  23. Scott from, uh, that one with the weird robopeople doohickeys? Ah well.
  24.     I'm a-goin' back to Stephen King, though. Just my $.02...
