  20. well known ones, it's unfortunately true here in the "happy valley" --
  21. pioneer valley of massachusetts (famed "lesbianville of _Nat'l
  22. Enquirer_ and _20/20_ fame) -- that a really huge percent of the
  23. "feminists" you meet are into the whole anti-porn nonsense.  I haven't
  24. found it nearly so much so other places I've lived as I have here; and
  25. that's certainly not because there are any fewer feminists or lesbians
  26. elsewhere.  I think, maybe, massachusetts is just so much more seeped
  27. in puritanical traditions than most other places.  But anyway, the
  28. anti-porn "feminists" are fairly prevalent, at least in some
  29. geographic areas. (I'm not sure about netland, however, no real
  30. statistical sense).  But this is most certainly not meant as a general
  31. condemnation of this area, there are many sane and wonderful feminists
  32. and/or lesbians here -- as anywhere.
