  15.     I've wondered the same thing since I first saw it. It seems a
  16. little too exact in highlighting modern stereotypes of the extreme
  17. Victorian. But I admit I'm not sure. I've a book from the same period
  18. called _What A Young Man Ought to Know_ on the same general topic, but
  19. addressed to young men. The extremity of viewpoint is no less, it just
  20. doesn't have that suggestion of being for the amusement of modern eyes.
