- Gee, I dunno, Morris. I didn't see anything in Elliott's paragraph that
- made me think he was asking for a handout. I caught the segment that he's
- referring to and I found it a little ludicrous myself. It seemed that even
- Rush felt that way from the way he disclaimed his statement after the very
- next break. I would say that banding together as a close-knit group has
- been crucial to the long term survival of the Jewish people, and Rush didn't
- seem to have that much problem with *their* solidarity, whereas he seems to
- have nothing but contempt for efforts to create a similar solidarity among
- blacks, gays, or women.

-
- Good point. I have to agree with Morris on this one, although I would
- point out that Elliott didn't call white males the "scourge of society"
- (although from my experience with similar arguments I can see how it might
- be inferred).
-

-
- I don't believe that it is divisive or hateful to encourage people
- to band together for their own strength. As far as teaching victimization
- is concerned, I'd say that there's very little that Elliott or I could do
- that would add to the already existing lessons taught by the disparate
- mortality rates suffered by young black men or the disparate rate at which
- blacks are executed. You don't have to be a rocket scientists to notice
- the difference between predominently black ghettos and predominently white
- suburbs.
-
- >Elliot, start trying to work at tearing down the walls not rebuild them.
-
- Yeah, through the non-divisive message of Rush Limbaugh, no doubt?
