- Howard is right as rain. I'm a poor white student, and most of the scolarships
- for science/engineering majors are earmarked for minorities.
-
- That is a lame-brain idea.
-
- I feel that race and ethnicity SHOULD NOT be used in determining who receives
- a scholarship. The person must be qualified to get the scholarship. I'm sick
- and tired of people getting into college just because of their race.
-
- In short, I believe a racist is someone who discriminates on the basis of race,
- but don't come and tell me "Only whites can be racist". That's BS. As a
- result, I have decided to protest minority preference scholarships at my school.
-
- If you can't make the grade, then get out of college.
-
- PS: Have you noticed that affirmative action actually hurts those it was meant
- to help? Think about it. Minorities are dropping out of school at a fast
- rate. And who gets in on the basis of race? Just think about it.
