  22. Pterry is naturally (grovel grovel) correct - these direct and somewhat
  23. dubious translations of common phrases into something which looks like
  24. latin are generally known as "dog latin".

  26. "Pig Latin" is a different thing entirely - it's generally spoken, and
  27. involves taking the first character of a word, putting that to the end of
  28. the word and adding the suffix "ay" - so the pig latin version of "pig
  29. latin" would be "igpay atinlay". It's tolerably easy to follow if you're
  30. a native speaker of the language which is being mangled in this way, but
  31. almost impenetrable if not!
