- I, myself don't know about Dalton quitting the series. I hope not, I think he's
- a good Bond, second only to Connery. A replacement is always a difficult problem.
- Certainly Mel Gibson is OUT. He would look ridiculous,
- and would not be able to exhibit the Britishness required for any degree
- of realism. He might have been a choice if he was an unknown actor, but
- I will always associate him with films such as Mad Max and Lethal Weapon,
- hardly playing Bond-like characters.

- What is required I think is a fairly unknown, preferably British, actor to take
- the role, just as Connery, Moore and Dalton were.
