  22. I think Dan would probably be able to get elected in Indiana except,
  23. as has been observed in a.f.d-q before, there aren't any choice Indiana
  24. offices up for grabs in the near future. But you're right that he'd
  25. do better on the lecture circuit, because as an office-holder he'd just
  26. have to explain his lack of a record. I imagine he'll use the example
  27. of Richard Nixon, who between 1962 and 1968 hit the fried-chicken dinner
  28. circuit to work for any GOP candidate who wanted him; IOUs that he called
  29. in later.
