- My experience was the development of "free-floating-anxiety"
- after several years of on-off again smoking. Extremely
- unpleasant. Essentially, the *FEAR* centers of the brain
- just turn on for no apparent reason, in isolation from
- any other effects. Reasoning that there was no cause for
- fear didn't help one bit. After a few such episodes I
- simply quit the weed and will never use it again. Now,
- this is a personal thing, and I have nothing against
- people who still smoke ... except that they get kinda
- thick after a while. As an aside, the cognitive improvements
- which took place during the first few months without the
- weed were almost like getting high in and of themselves.
- Reefer is easy to over-use, but the ill effects seem to
- go away once you stop using. That's more slack than
- alcohol will give you.
