- You can get goggles like this for $35 + shipping from -- GUESS WHO --
- SEGA! Yes, that's how the glasses that came with the old Sega Master
- System video game worked (and that was a <8MHz 8-bit 6800 processor!).
- Sega still makes them -- check out sci.virtual-worlds for details.
- There's interfaces for connecting them to an RS-232 port out there,
- software drivers for every imaginable computer (all a driver has to do
- is turn a control line on the serial port on or off every frame), and
- there's software for a 386 that takes advantage of it (called
