- Well Nick... I know there is power in deiversity and I realize that I can't lump all hackers/cybers into
- lump all hacks/phreaks/cybes into one group but I was just merely stateing observations that
- observations I've made via groups like this, through M2000 and other various
- sources.
-
- I guess the onyl real thing that bothers me the almost blasphemous behaviour
- of the lot twards modern technological advances in science. I mean "in
- general", buzz phrases are thrown around the "Electronic Netherworld" like
- huge ego nets reeling the ripe pride of knowledge.
-
- I guess it is the attitude twards knowledge and the apparent lack of wisdom
- that bothers me. I am an EET and I have found that the more you learn, the
- more you realize how little you really know, and this fact has a humbling
- effect on ones overstuffed mind.
-
- It seems to be more 'self expression' via technology than information
- exchange. But then again, what IS the root(s) of CyberLife? Accumilation
- of ultimate knowledge, or maximum dispersal of self expression? or both?
-
- I heard it said once that "Man lives to have his name known..." roughly
- and also that "There is nothing new under the sun..."
-
- Maybe these two old saying encompase the concept of Cyberites...
