- I think so too. I absolutely can't imagine TH or Woo directing any of the
- CGS films. TH's films seem to avoid themes of romance and betrayal, which
- feature strongly in the films of Ching and Woo (respectively). He tends
- to treat human relationships much more lightly.

- Actually, THE BUTTERFLY MURDERS, one of TH's earlier films, does seem
- to be unusually serious; but he seems to have grown out of it. :-)
- A friend tells me that this was regarded as a fairly ground-breaking
- film in Hongkong, but I can't specifically see why (unless it's the
- slightly loopy story).
