  13. About the rating of Poltergeist:  the film was always rated PG,
  14. but I remember some debate about that.  I think they defended the
  15. rating because one of the gorier effects wound up being a
  16. hallucination, and the rest were mostly "scare" effects.  Poltergeist
  17. II and III were both rated PG-13.
