- Jirel of Joiry was by C.L Moore. There is a collection of her stories
- still in print, I think, in paperback. C.L. Moore was one of the few
- female authors of early SF.

- I don't even *remember* what my first SF book was. Sigh... I'd guess it
- was either something by Andre Norton or a doctors in space by another
- Norton... I read most of my high school library when I was in high school
- and bored by the classwork. Anderson to Zelazny... :)
