  20. about 5'10" tall, in black sweatpants, khaki green sweatshirt, neon *PINK*
  21. hightops, and a bit big for her lettermens jacket that has a big orange
  22. calTech on it.  "Hi, I'm Liralen Li, a Lloydie of '85."  She grins,
  23. "Dan'l's around here, somewhere, too, he's of my House and class.  My
  24. hubby's John Rostykus, Lloydie, '86, who was roommate to Dave Gallup, one
  25. of the few Lloydies who were also initiated as a Page Boy due to social
  26. ties.  I was also a social Flem in my time."

  28. She grins at all the baffled looks from everyone else.  "First thing every
  29. Techer asks another Techer is 'What House?'."

  31. "Hmmm..." says Liralen, looking at all the questions, "No taboos.  I don't
  32. think there *are* any anymore.  Out and out name calling/ 'flaming' as
  33. it's known elsewhere on the net is pretty much out.  It's sorta a bar.
  34. 'Where everyone knows your name.' Especially with your dad already pretty
  35. active here.  VR?  Yup.  Using verbal cues as the medium.  Seems to work
  36. pretty good.  Cyberspace?  Yup."  She chuckles at the last two,
  37. "Youngsters." she says softly, smiling, seeming to ignore the fact that
  38. she's been carded the last three times she's been in a RL bar.  And the
  39. last time she was dressed the way she was, she was carded by a grocery
  40. store clerk who had apologized profusely after doing so and blushed while
  41. he said that in the lettermen's jacket she looked like a high school boy.

  43. She blinks to see the grocery store counter and the clerk, and at the 
  44. blink, it all disappears.
