- Actually, there is a program out that can connect up WWIVnet to the
- internet.. I don't recall the name, but I know that it has been around
- for well over a year.. I know because I've downloaded it before... I
- used to run a board under WWIVnet (I know the guy that wrote WWIV /
- WWIVnet).. WWIVnet is somewhat based into geographical areas -- similar
- to the internet and usually a single large hub is used to pass mail/news
- between two distant locations. From there, it is distributed to any
- local nodes, etc... It also has the capability to automatically reroute
- to some degree using routing control messages, etc.. Not too bad as a
- first stab at networking if you ask me!
