- Tony, have you seen my recent posts about the class I am taking 'Uranian
- Astrology"? Your post is very interesting and clear about one portion of
- the class, Cosmobiology. How long have you been using Cosmobiology?
-
- A main point of Uranian Astrology is speed analysis. The teacher, Gary
- Christen, a founding partner of Astrolabe (software company) has lecturered
- 'if one is to be a full time practising astrologer, can you afford to spend
- 2 or more hours preparing for a client, then probably 2 hrs doing a
- consultation. The answer, of course, is no. Well, this statement got my
- full attention!!
-
- Tommorow, Tues. is my fourth class (out of 10). The homework, besides the
- reading material, was to set up thee 360 degree dial and put our personal
- points around the outside of the dial. Those points are the Cardinal
- points (0 degree of all the cardinals, forming the cross) Sun, Moon, MC,
- MH, Node. From what I understand right now, when a planetary picture forms
- in connection with one or more of these points, the results are of a
- greater effect. Yes, this is similar to transits with the angles. This
- dial is said to have a quicker, visual effect, instead of meandering all
- over a chart or checking out lists, etc.
-
- Another source of visual effects (which I have used quite bit) is looking
- at 45 degree graphs. Astrolabe offers software called Timegraphs. One
- small part of that program that I use is pulling up a 45 degree graph of
- the transiting planets, for a month at a time. The lines (a solid line
- track) of the transiting planets runs across the screen showing the dips
- and curves of stations and retrogrades.
- The interesting part is that one's own planets are also shown in a broken
- line across the screen. Put the lines together and one can see when the
- planets gang up on a natal planet. Why is this interesting - the 45 degree
- graph shows only the hard aspects. Believe me it is very visual and works
- very well. On screen, the colors are quite distinctive and makes it very
- easy to read. The printout is quite clear and very handy for carrying
- around with you or having it in sight in your office. There is so much
- more in this program that I haven't touched yet. Perhaps with this class I
- will understand more of what genius it contains.

- Will keep the list posted.
