  21. according to the latest newsgroup lists (and CHECKGROUP postings) that I have
  22. seen there is NO REC.ARCHERY news group.  If someone out there feels that there
  23. is enough support (see below) out there to attempt to get REC.ARCHERY created,
  24. I would support that effort.

  26. In order to create a new newsgroup in the mainstream hierachies (COMP.*,
  27. NEWS.*, MISC.*, REC.*, SCI.*, SOC.*, & TALK.*) the group must be discussed and
  28. voted upon.  For NEW a group to pass it must recieve a 2/3rd majority of YES
  29. votes and at least 100 more YES votes that NO votes (see "Guidelines for
  30. newsgroup creation", periodically posted in NEWS.ANSWERS)
