- I've had quite a few Kenyi (a mouthbrooder) spawns in my tanks
- with under gravel filters and have had no problems. What I have
- seen in their behavior is the clearing of a rather large nest--like
- you say, going all the way to the UGF. However, every _spawn_ that I
- have witnessed has occured on top of a flat rock. I provide
- a good variety of rocks for my kenyi to play (and spawn) in and
- they seem to be apreciative. I've never bothered with turning off
- the pump.
-
- Some will say different, I'm sure. This has jsut been my
- experience.
