- I have a couple trios of fish, 1 male two female... and the females
- occasionally fight... is thisa fight to see who gets to breed? how
- long will the fighting last (new fight each day? each 'egg cycle'?
- what happens to the loser... will she be rejected and then be cast off
- from the rest of the tank and go sit in a corner until she dies?
-
- i also have one female who refuses to mate with a male... she is a
- high-fin marigold lyretail and he is a pineapple swordfish... i wasn't
- too concerned about the interbreeding, but recently the female's tail
- which used to be quite long and beautiful is now about half eaten away
- at the top and about one quarter gone on the bottom... she also tends
- to spend most of her day/night hiding under a rock or in the plants or
- by the heater where the male will not see her...

- any help?
