  20. Based on those definitions, my statement is true.  In reality, there is
  21. no pure example of fascism, socialism or capitalism.  In political
  22. science, fascism = statism (dominance of the government over the
  23. individual).  Both socialism and capitalism try very different
  24. methods to avoid this but all actual examples have some statism in
  25. them.  The rhetoric of socialism is appealing to the masses so
  26. outright fascists will generally use some of it to gain popularity.
