  22. My apologies, then, if you didn't see the original post.  To expand beyond
  23. mere abuse, let me note that one could indeed, e.g., discuss the Keynesian 
  24. (public-works/military) economic policies of the Nazi government in the
  25. thirties -- which were in fact very successful in revitalizing the German
  26. economy -- in a reasoned way without it being a smear intended 
  27. to pyschologically equate Keynesianism with Nazism.  But in the
  28. actual context of Steven Fordyce's one-liner "hit-and-run" rejoinder --
  29. which imparted no useful information -- it is a smear.
  30. To sincerely believe otherwise is to be deeply ignorant 
  31. of both the techniques of rhetoric and the emotional connotations
  32. of the term `Nazism'.  (Note the title of this thread!)
