- MultiNet V3.1 Rev A and lower revisions, you use MULTINET
- CONFIGURE and add a "ve0" device specifying a VMS device name of FXA0:.
-
- MultiNet V3.1 Rev B and later, you can, and we recommend that
- you do, use "se" instead of "ve". This will result in a performance
- improvement. Rev B will be formally announced in about a week.
-
- If you have both an Ethernet and an FDDI interface configured on
- the same machine, they each need to use distinct network or subnetwork
- numbers. MultiNet knows which to send over by consulting its routing
- table to see which of the two networks or subnetworks the destination
- or router is located in. If you have both configured, I'd configure
- one name with both IP addresses in your DNS and let other machines
- connect to the IP address which is closest to them.
