- I need a drive type (and whatever other specs you might have) for a
- Conner Peripherals CP3000 3 1/2" hard disk. It's not written on
- the drive anywhere I can see. Type 8 "appears" to work, but I'm
- pretty sure it's not the right type.
-
- Also, does anyone have a setup program they could loan me that would
- work with a Compaq 286/12 and accept the right drive type. I have an
- old AT diagnostics disk that only accepts numbers up to 15, and I
- suspect the right type is >15.
-
- BTW, my memory problem turned out to be bad settings on the AST
- memory board. The boot test indicated 2M+640K of memory; when I took
- the 2M card out the boot test indicated 2M of memory. I found a
- company that would sell me driver software and documentation for
- the card cheap (Alphanumeric Systems).
-
- Thanks.
