- me) God directs Moses to order the infanticide (and genocide) of the
- people the Israelites had just conquered. They were to take all their
- possessions and keep them, and also keep all the females that were
- virgins. All other females and males, including boy babies, were to be
- slaughtered. This was demanded by God. It is really a shocking chapter
- of the Bible and well worth reading.
