- In article <6973@skye.ed.ac.uk> ken@aiai.ed.ac.uk (Ken Johnson) writes:
-
- Anyone with an account at the Royal Bank of Scotland will have received<
- a note with their most recent bank statement giving information about<
- their Complaints and Compliments leaflets, which are now to hand in<
- branches.<
- <
- When I got mine, I unfortunately forgot that I had recently been charged<
- 8 pounds for being 25 pounds overdrawn for 3 days, and that a few days<
- after that I had been charged 25.60 pounds for 25 Irish pounds' worth of<
- Irish currency, worth 22.75 UK pounds. So I wrote `Why can't we have left<
- handed cheque books?' on my form and returned it.<
- <
- Seems a reasonable request to me. Anyone else want to add their voice<
- to mine?<
-
-
- I remember asking about this in some English bank some eight or ten years
- ago. The staff thought it was extremely funny.
-
- Some of the banks (TSB perhaps) have cheque stubs that you write parallel
- to the spine rather than away from it, which is a reasonable move...
